As we approach the end of 2024, I find myself reflecting on a year that has been both challenging and transformative. This year brought unexpected trials in my personal life—moments that tested my resilience and stretched my emotional capacity. Yet, it also became a year of incredible growth for my business, a year where hard work, dedication, and passion became my refuge and my strength. When life felt overwhelming, I instinctively poured all my energy into my work. Photography has always been more than a job for me—it’s my creative outlet, my focus, and my way of finding purpose. In the most challenging times, it’s what kept me sane. It gave me a reason to get up, to stay productive, and to channel my emotions into something meaningful.

Despite the hurdles, 2024 has been a year of milestones for my business. It was a year where I pushed myself out of my comfort zone repeatedly and saw the rewards of that effort.
I committed to becoming the best version of myself as a photographer. I enrolled in multiple courses to expand my knowledge and skills, including specialised training in newborn posing. and First Aid in paediatrics. These courses not only sharpened my craft but also reaffirmed my commitment to providing a safe, professional, and enjoyable experience for my clients.

One of the most exciting developments this year was merging with another talented photographer, Joe Morley, on the wedding photography side of my business. This partnership has been a game-changer, allowing me to step into new creative territory and offer even more to my clients. Together, we now work under Forever Blue Weddings.

2024 also brought the joy of working with so many wonderful people. I reconnected with my long-term loyal clients—people who have trusted me to capture their precious moments over the years—and welcomed an incredible number of new clients into my studio setting. Some of these clients have even become friends, a beautiful reminder of how photography is not just about pictures but about building connections.

From the sold-out Christmas sessions to every single shoot where I pushed myself creatively, this year has been about growth through challenge. Each step outside my comfort zone brought a new lesson, a new skill, and a deeper understanding of what I’m capable of.

Turning 30 this year was a moment of reflection for me. It felt like a turning point—not just in age but in perspective. I’ve realised how far I’ve come, both personally and professionally, and how much more there is to explore and achieve. Life after 30 wasn't the easiest journey for me, but I truly believe that it’s in the hard times we experience the most growth. Every challenge shapes us, strengthens us, and pushes us to become better. I know I’m strong—I’ve had no choice but to be. Here’s to embracing the struggles, celebrating the growth, and continuing to move forward with resilience.

Looking Forward to 2025
As I stand on the threshold of a new year, I feel a sense of gratitude and excitement. Gratitude for the lessons learned, the people who supported me, and the growth I’ve experienced. Excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead and the chance to keep building on everything I’ve achieved so far.
In 2025, I want to continue challenging myself, learning, and improving—not just as a photographer but as a person. I want to create more meaningful connections, capture more beautiful moments, and give my clients the best experience possible.

As we step into 2025, I want to share some thoughts that have guided me through this year of ups and downs:
Be kind—to yourself and others. Kindness costs nothing but means everything, especially in difficult times.
Stay focused—on your goals, your passions, and the things that truly matter. Life will always have distractions, but focus keeps you moving forward.
Step outside your comfort zone—because that’s where growth happens. The things that scare you the most often lead to the greatest rewards.
Keep faith—in yourself, in the process, in the people around you and a higher power, if you believe that. Challenges are temporary, but the strength you gain from overcoming them lasts forever.
Do what you love—because life is too short to spend it on things that don’t bring you joy. Pursue your passions relentlessly, and they will bring meaning to your life.

Thank You
To my clients, friends, and family, thank you for being part of my journey. Your trust, support, and encouragement mean the world to me. You are the reason I love what I do, and I’m so grateful to have shared this year with you. As we welcome 2025, I wish you all a year filled with happiness, health, and success. Let’s make it a year of kindness, creativity, and connection. Thank you for being part of my story—I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together in the coming year.

With love and gratitude,
